What is Communicative Language Teaching?

Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is a teaching method that emphasizes developing learners’ ability to communicate effectively in the target language using authentic language in real-life situations. It focuses on holistic development of language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with the goal of producing competent and confident communicators.

In the ELT (English Language Teachers): Under The Covers react series, expert teachers break down teaching scenes from movies, TV shows and viral videos of classroom clips – and react to them with a light-hearted spicy commentary on the teaching situations/practices shown within them.
