What is Learning by Teaching (German: Lernen durch Lehren)? LDL is a method where pupils learn material and then explain it to others to deepens their comprehension. When students become the teacher, reflection and critical thinking is involved which means when they learn from this approach results will be drastically different compared to a student-centered approach. Designed in the 1980s by Jean-Pol Martin, LDL benefits learners and teachers alike across a range of disciplines.
